Several firebenders who work at Republic City's powerplant have shown the ability to generate lightning. Lightning Bolt Zolt, before the removal of his bending by Amon, used lightning as his weapon of choice. General Iroh has shown the ability to generate lightning and Mako is able to both generate and redirect it.

Katara, Yakone, Amon, and Tarrlok are the only known waterbenders able to perform bloodbending, while the latter three were the only ones able to perform the technique without the need of a full moon. Furthermore, Amon and Yakone were also capable of psychic bloodbending.
